The Best AI Marketing Tools in 2026: What We Actually Use With Clients.

A working agency's honest stack. Not a 50-tool listicle. The AI marketing tools we run every day across PPC, SEO, content, CRM, email, analytics and creative - what each one is for, what it costs, and where it breaks.

Every week a client asks us the same question: "What AI marketing tools should we be using?" The honest answer is that the tool matters less than the workflow you build around it. But some tools have earned a permanent place in the Rha Marketing stack because they save real hours, produce real revenue, or unlock things that were not possible two years ago. This is that shortlist - what we use, what it is for, what it costs, and the traps to avoid.

How to think about an AI marketing stack

Do not buy tools. Buy outcomes. Every AI tool in your stack should map to a specific job: research a market, brief a piece of content, launch a campaign, score a lead, personalise an email, edit an image, forecast spend. If a tool cannot be pointed at a job that a human on your team is already doing, it will sit unused inside 90 days.

  1. 1

Pick one tool per job. Not three overlapping ones.

  2. 2

Prefer tools that integrate with your CRM, ad platforms and analytics. Isolated tools create isolated data.

  3. 3

Budget for the workflow, not the seat. A £200/month tool that saves 40 hours is cheaper than a free tool that saves none.

  4. 4

Review the stack every quarter. AI moves fast - what was best in Q1 is often overtaken by Q3.

Strategy and research

  • ChatGPT (Team or Enterprise)

The default thinking partner. Market briefs, competitor teardowns, positioning drafts, first-pass copy. Enterprise plan for client work so prompts stay out of training data.

  • Claude (Pro or Team)

Better for long-form reasoning, brand voice work and analysing 100+ page documents. We use it for pitch decks, strategy memos and policy-heavy briefs.

  • Perplexity

Cited web research. Faster than Google for anything you need sourced. Replaces about 60% of manual desk research.

  • Gemini (with Google Workspace)

Best when your data lives in Google Docs, Sheets and Gmail. Native context across the workspace.

SEO and AI search (AEO / GEO)

  • Semrush + ContentShake AI

Keyword research, competitor gap analysis, SERP intent and AI-assisted briefs in one place. Still our primary SEO tool.

  • Ahrefs

Backlink data and content gap analysis. Paired with Semrush for the full picture.

  • Surfer SEO

On-page optimisation and content scoring. Best for briefing writers on structure, entities and word count.

  • Profound / Peec AI

Track how your brand appears inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Essential for AEO/GEO measurement.

  • Screaming Frog + AI

Technical audits at scale, now with AI-powered content classification and internal linking suggestions.

PPC and paid media

  • Google Ads Performance Max + Demand Gen

Google's own AI campaign types. Fed correctly they outperform manual campaigns on 70% of accounts we manage.

  • Meta Advantage+

Meta's AI campaign engine. Non-negotiable for D2C and lead gen at scale.

  • Opteo

Google Ads optimisation assistant. Surfaces the 20% of changes that produce 80% of the lift.

  • Adcreative.ai / Pencil

Generative ad creative at variant scale. Not a replacement for a strategist, but excellent for testing 40 headlines and 20 images per week.

  • Triple Whale

AI-powered attribution and forecasting for e-commerce spend across channels.

Content, copy and creative

  • Jasper / Copy.ai (for teams)

Brand-voice-locked copy for teams that need consistency across many writers.

  • Descript

AI podcast and video editing. Transcribe, cut filler words, generate short-form clips for social.

  • Midjourney + Adobe Firefly

Concept art and brand-safe generative imagery. Firefly for client work because of commercial licensing.

  • Runway / Sora

Generative and edited video for ads, hero backgrounds and social.

  • Canva Magic Studio

The fastest way for non-designers to ship on-brand social and email creative.

  • ElevenLabs

Voiceover for ads, explainers and podcasts. Cheaper and faster than booking a VO artist for iteration work.

CRM, lead scoring and automation

  • HubSpot AI (Breeze)

CRM-native AI for lead scoring, email personalisation, meeting summaries and predictive forecasting. Our default for B2B stacks under 200 seats.

  • Salesforce Einstein

For enterprise. Deeper forecasting and case routing.

  • Clay

AI-powered prospect enrichment and outbound list building. Combines 50+ data sources with GPT to write personalised first lines at scale.

  • n8n / Make

The glue. Where we build custom automations that route leads, sync CRMs, trigger workflows and call LLMs at the exact right moment.

Email and lifecycle

  • Klaviyo AI

The e-commerce email standard. AI subject lines, send-time optimisation, predictive segments and product recommendations.

  • Customer.io

For SaaS and app-based lifecycle. Best-in-class behavioural triggers with AI copy assistance.

  • Instantly / Smartlead

AI-assisted cold email with inbox rotation and warmup. Only when the offer and list are strong.

Analytics, attribution and reporting

  • GA4 with Explorations

The baseline. Anomaly detection and predictive audiences are genuinely useful now.

  • Looker Studio + Gemini

AI-assisted dashboards that answer questions in plain English.

  • Motion / Fathom

AI meeting notes and action items. Freeing up 3-5 hours per week for every account lead.

  • Northbeam / Rockerbox

Multi-touch attribution for spend above £30k/month across channels.

What we do not recommend

  1. 1

All-in-one "AI marketing platforms" that promise to replace your entire stack. They almost always underperform specialist tools in every category.

  2. 2

Free-tier AI writers with no brand-voice controls - the output is generic and the SEO risk is real.

  3. 3

Any tool without a clear data-privacy story if you handle EU/UK customer data.

  4. 4

Tools without a native integration into your CRM. If you have to CSV data in and out, it will not last.

A minimum viable AI marketing stack for 2026

If you are starting from zero, the smallest stack that will move the needle for most UK SMEs is: ChatGPT Team, Semrush, HubSpot, Klaviyo (or the email tool inside HubSpot), Canva Magic Studio, and n8n or Make for automation. Total cost is around £600-£900 per month. Everything else is optional until this stack is fully deployed and used every day.

How Rha Marketing helps

We audit your current stack, remove what is not earning its seat, integrate what is, and train your team to run it. Or we run it for you as your outsourced marketing agency. We work with clients across the UK and Global - Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol, London and beyond - deploying AI marketing tools that produce measurable revenue, not just impressive dashboards.
